Trethorne Functions

Bring your children to Trethorne Leisure Park where they can enjoy 'hands on' experiences with our animals

Let us work with you to plan a programme of activities that include:

In touch with animals -
Hold and stroke some of the farm's smaller animals and learn about their environment, feeding habits and behaviour. Animals include: Chicks, ducklings, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Chinchillas and a Pygmy Goat (animals depend on the season).

Pony Rides -
Provided with a riding hat and accompanied by our staff take a ride around our yard on one of our experienced ponies.

Bottle Feed the Lambs -
Feel the strong suck of a lamb as it tugs on a bottle.

Hand Milk the Cow -
Discover the thrill of seeing and feeling milk flow from a cow's udder!

After each activity the children are provided with facilities to wash their hands with anti-bacterial soap.

Activity books are available at only 20p each. These give the children the opportunity to undertake written games and activities that will support and extend their learning experiences of the day. The books can be completed on the day or taken home/back to school. There are two books for ages 4 to 7 years and 7 to 11 years.
