 Trethorne Leisure Farm Access Statement

Trethorne Leisure Park is a friendly family run establishment with excellent home cooked.  Fun and entertainment for all ages, all on one site!

  • Large variety of animals to hold, feed and touch.
  • 45,000 square feet of undercover play equipment, including a Jolly Rogers ball blast; drop slides, bungee run, a warm area, etc.
  • Outdoor play areas, including Sand Pits, Trampolines, and Karts and lots more!
  • Function rooms - Used for meetings, special occasion functions.  We can cater for groups of 10 - 100 people.
  • Large Licensed restaurant - Open all day + locally sourced foods.
  • 2 Licensed bars - one in the restaurant and another in the Ten Pin Bowling area.
  • Gift Shop - Take away a souvenir.
  • Ten pin bowling - 8 computerised lanes, entertainment for all ages.

  • Our car park is easy to access, and is suitable for disabled.  We are located just off the A30, 3 miles west of Launceston on the junction with the A395.  The park is clearly signed with brown tourist signs.
  • For satellite navigation systems our postcode is:  PL15 8QE
  • The Park is also accessible by bus.  The nearest bus stop is located a short walk away in Tregadillet, approximately 10 minutes away.
  • Accessible taxi services are located in Launceston. (3 miles away)
  • Car parking is free.
  • The admission charges for the Leisure Park are on the website.  Family tickets and Return tickets are available. Please enquire on arrival or have a look at our website: www.trethorneleisure.com
  • The main car park has facilities for approximately 300 cars on tarmac plus we have 2 designated disabled spaces right by the entrance.  And we also have 5 coach spaces.  The car park is lit.
  • Access to the main entrance is on tarmac and all other areas are also tarmac.
  • The park is open everyday
  • The winter opening hours are 10am - 5pm
    • Winter the Park is closed Monday - Friday (November 8th 2008 - February 6th 2009)
    • Open Saturdays & Sundays, 10am - 5pm
    • Summer the Park is open 7 days a week 10am - 6pm (February 6th - November 8th)
    • The Restaurant, Gift Shop & Ten pin Bowling stay open all year round, 7 days a week.
    • The whole site is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day.
  • There are no steps at the entrance; and access is wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
  • All internal areas are easy access for wheelchairs or pushchairs, we do have some steps but we also have alternative routes with ramps for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
  • Access to all areas is by concrete or tarmac.
  • It is concrete/tarmac all the way to the Main Play Area, and it is a gravel path to the Go Karts, and the Outside Picnic Area is on mown grass.

    • Plus there are numerous benches and picnic benches available through the site.
  • There are 3 disabled toilets, (one located by the outside trampolines, another in the Shire Horse Suite and also in the main restaurant)
  • Baby changing facilities are located within the disabled toilet, in the main restaurant and under the dropslide in the main barn.
  • Hand-washing facilities are located in all toilets, at the end of the animal Shed and in the 'In Touch with Animals' room.
  • The eating areas are located centrally on site.
  • There is good access to the entire site.
  • Food is ordered at the front counter and brought to the table.  We also have a Take-Away window.
  • High chairs are available in the restaurant and bowling area.
  • We are able to cater for visitors with special dietary requirements

  • Ramps available for small children and disabled
  • Bumper rails also available to prevent all balls going off the side
  • Bar just next to the bowling lanes - open all day, every day

    • Access to the shop is direct from the car park or restaurant.
    • The Gift Shop is easily accessible by wheelchairs and pushchairs.
    • All items are clearly priced; many items at low level, we are happy to provide assistance if required.
  • The Assault Course, Dropslides, Trampolines, Animals and Go Karts.
    • All play equipment is safety checked daily.
    • All play equipment also has safety surfacing where required and is maintained to the current European Standard.
    • Access is by a level tarmac/concrete path on to level mown grass.
  • All areas have easy access on carpeted paths, wide doorways and aisles.
  • Some elements within the assault course require climbing and crawling through tubes etc.
  • The indoor trampoline area and climbing wall are accessed via steps
  • We can cater for a wide range of business events, for groups of 10 - 100 people.
  • We have two rooms available for conferences and meetings.
  • Our larger room has a dance floor and bar, and seats up to 140 people in rows for a meeting.
  • Or our smaller room will accommodate up to 55 people sitting in rows, it is a carpeted room, with an en-suite toilet facilities.  This room is also available for conferences and meetings with smaller numbers.

  • All our animals are under cover with easy access, wide doors and aisles.  The Go Karts are available all day every day.
  • We have daily 'hand milking the cow' demonstrations, again with easy access, at    12.30pm and 2.30pm
  • Bottle feeding the lambs takes place daily at 12noon and 5.00pm
  • In touch with animals, where you get to hold, feed, touch & cuddle the smaller animals takes place: 11.30am and 3.00pm
  • Pony rides also take place daily at 11.00am
    1.00pm - stop for lunch for hour
    4.30pm finish
  • There is no smoking within any of the buildings or on the farm.
  • We regret we only allow guide dogs into the Park.
  • First Aid facilities are located at the Admissions Desk at the main entrance, and the small shop in the indoor soft play area or by contacting any member of staff.
  • Trained General First Aiders are always on site.  Just ask a member of staff.
  • Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the Admissions Desk.  Just ask on arrival.
